How to Book a B5 Appointment with PUSPAKOM?
If you're planning to sell your car in Malaysia, one of the key steps in the ownership transfer process is obtaining a B5 inspection report from PUSPAKOM. This inspection is mandatory to ensure your vehicle meets the roadworthy and regulatory standards required by the JPJ (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan).
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to book a B5 PUSPAKOM appointment, what documents you need, and what to expect during the process.
What is a PUSPAKOM B5 Inspection?
The B5 inspection is a mandatory identity verification inspection required when a vehicle is being sold, transferred, or ownership is being changed. It ensures:
- The vehicle's chassis and engine numbers match its official documents
- There are no signs of tampering or cloning
- The vehicle is not reported stolen
This is an essential step in preventing fraud and ensuring a safe, legal transfer of ownership.
